Recent reports have been circulating on several scandalous websites that three Constantinopolitan priests make exodus to Russian Orthodox Church. The underlying messaging and statements akin to priests “leave Constantinople” “due to the growing ecumenism and actions of Phanar in Ukraine.” Suggesting ethical, moral, and theological violations on the part of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Absurd allegations yet a theme which echoes in the subversive blogosphere.
the isolated one who fights alone. “In a free society we should welcome open and honest debate.” Concerning the preposterous editorial written by George Michalopoulos: The Scandalous Nature of the Word “Archon” for a Christian Organization I thought I’d squelch a few of the many misnomers penned. There are too many errors, dozens of distractions and tangent ramblings to consider, but here it goes. ![]()
The Orthodox Christian Laity (OCL) has of late, found a new voice online. A voice of controversy. Its newly contrived and defective objective is to sow disunity under the guise of unity in America. This organization has devolved into a smear machine against the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople. No honest individual can, even in a cursory way, scrutinize the OCL website and not see the obvious anti-patriarchal predilections.
“There is only one way to avoid criticism: |
"Criticism is cheap. Anybody can criticize." Let’s understand criticism: “Constructive” criticism sees a problem and wants to help. “Destructive” criticism sees a problem, amplifies it, and wants to hurt with malicious intent. People fall prey to false or exaggerated stories all the time and credulous “church scandal” innuendo goes a long way, harmful on many levels. There are people who take advantage of the religious zeal of the faithful, turn it into bigotry, and then exploit it. |
