Open response to Archbishop Anastasios Is it due to ignorance, hypocrisy, or maleficence? 9/11 Never forget! Your Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, most beloved and precious holy father, Forgive me for not receiving your paternal letter directly; instead, I am notified of yet another synodal "Press Release" circulated throughout the World Wide Web, and what a web you weave. I thoroughly examined your comments concerning the uncanonical ecclesiastical acts of the simulacrum-Patriarch Cyril of Moscow and your recently lost words on my blog archonelias.com, open for everyone to read and evaluate. In the vast digital expanse, a speck of a website exists, Helleniscope. In the underbelly of the sensationalist tabloid domain, Helleniscope’s Nick Skatamatakis appears as a fervent champion of luridness, wielding a tabloid-like website as his weapon of choice. His primary focus stays fixed on politicians whose ideologies diverge from his own, a matter of little concern to me as politics is not my interest. Conversely, his relentless pursuit of Orthodox leaders dominates a significant portion of his online drivel, capturing my attention.
The church of Albania does not speak publicly about the murderous acts of a “Patriarch” specifically Cyril’s fratricide, illegal expansionist invasions of Cyril, or Cyril’s anathematizing entire worldwide jurisdictions ie Constantinople, Alexandria -the entire continent of Africa, Cyprus, and even, laughably, bishops in Greece except those who agree with the Russian World heresy !
Cyril is a devilish joke. This is why I call Cyril a simulacrum patriarch. Still, the church of Albania will attack an iconographer and Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarch for suggesting rich guys (Oligarchs; Russian or otherwise) support rebuilding a devasted land. We are not well. Friends the dirty tactics of Albania go far deeper than I want to expose at this time. I am utterly disgusted by a senior respected holy hierarch, to behave as he has done. I am honestly embarrassed for them. Holy Fathers of the Albanian Synod,
Bless. I am writing in response to the recent official communication from the Synod Press Office, "Essential Refutation," concerning matters that pertain to me. This misguided overreaction of the Albanian Synod to my humble assertion that "International oligarchs" (ultra-high-net-worth individuals) helped rebuild the devastated Church of Albania. I understand English is not a primary language of the Synod, so I assume those in your English translation department have an agenda of their own. In the Heart of Historic St. Augustine, the Past and Faith Converge -Archon Elias Damianakis Celebrates the Magnificent St. Photios Chapel, Embraces Orthodoxy’s Spiritual Bond with the Environment, and Dives into the Remarkable Life of Ecumenical Patriarch St. Photios the Great.
It’s business as usual.Throughout Orthodox history, church schisms have typically emerged following prolonged episodes of disagreement, spanning years, decades, or even centuries, of unresolved doctrinal disputes. These divisions often culminated in ecumenical councils, where opposing factions convened to debate and seek a resolution. Numerous instances in the Orthodox Church exemplify this pattern, the Church grappling with controversies that in due course were officially declared as heretical. An archetype of this is the Arian controversy, which endured for over five decades resulting in various factions that persisted until the First Ecumenical Council was convened. During this council, representatives from the Arian and Orthodox factions engaged in dialogue that eventually led to the resolution of their disparities. As a result, bishops across the ecumene subsequently aligned themselves with the established doctrine, embracing the rightful and honorable course of action.
The title Moscow "Patriarch" appears to be decisions that, in hindsight, turn out to be most lamentable. Decisions made by the Ecumenical Patriarchs in the twentieth century, like when the Ecumenical Patriarchate was compelled to acknowledge the legitimacy of the Russian Orthodox Church, appear to be decisions that, in hindsight, turn out to be most lamentable. From an ecclesiastical perspective, the appropriate canonical option would have affected Orthodoxy unblemished long-term. Nonrecognition of Stalin’s church could have prevented the amplification of Russian propaganda, which bears resemblance to current unfounded allegations involving the Patriarch of Constantinople being perceived as an American asset.
My friend and ecclesiastic compatriot Archimandrite Romanos Anastasiadis in Crete -who shares common interests and employs a similar approach in expressive tact, has faced unjust criticism by Archbishop Anastasios, elements within the Russian Church and even state-run media. This occurs even though his viewpoints align with those of myself, many esteemed Orthodox theologians, and ordinary Christians. The mildest criticism of Archbishop Anastasios from an ordinary individual is met vehemently and with the official press, while Patriarch Cyril's endorsement, no, assistance in fratricidal war remains unaddressed or handled with gentle velvet gloves. Why?
