In 2018 “Russian authorities declared a "High Alert" and distributed masks and respirators to residents of a town outside Moscow where toxic fumes have leaked from a landfill site.” “Volokolamsk is the town of trash fame…” and not just because of the garbage dumped in Volokolamsk but more so for the rubbish generated by Volokolamsk! Moscow sends almost all its garbage to Volokolamsk. Patriarch Cyril aware of the situation in Volokolamsk felt at ease sending Hilarion Alfeyev to this region, assuming he would be inconspicuous and fit right in. Currently in 2021, toxic contagions exude again, leaking from the Volokolamsk garbage dump known as Metropolitan Hilarion Alyefev, whose words are emitting a noxious sulfurous stench like three years ago. Hilarion’s ability to imbue his comments with profound religious confusion, to divide communion, to invent new ways of distorting Orthodox canons while remaining faithful to the revisionist tradition of the Moscow Patriarchate, and to utter most profound irreverence using his characteristically unsophisticated incomprehensible prattle, singles him out among present-day initiators of disunity in the Orthodox world. This time the stench will not only be affecting the children and elderly of Volokolamsk, but straightaway the reliant and anemic communities of Orthodoxy dependent on the teat of Moscow. Like Moscow three years ago however, Patriarch Cyril will do nothing to fix the damage it causes and should clean up the garbage dump which is Volokolamsk. Toxic Landfill of Volokolamsk"Moscow sends almost all its garbage to Volokolamsk."
